Event Description

Join Hillel and Matthew for an event that reignites your Cello Scientist and unlocks your Cello Artist—Periodic Table meets Earth, Wind, Fire and Water!

Matthew will lead a 75 minute introductory, participatory session preparing body, mind, larynx and spirit for using the cello as both recreative and creative agent.

Hillel will continue the journey, elucidating the elusive Popper etudes and exploring how these Cello Maps can prepare you for adventures into uncharted waters.

2.00pm Introductory Session with Matthew Sharp. All participants welcome with cellos
3.15pm – 4.30pm Cello Journey with Hillel Zori (through Popper Etudes and Cello Maps)
4.15pm Tea Break
5.00pm Concert with Matthew Sharp and Hillel Zori – Eclectic repertoire from Bach to Bizet to Jeff Buckley (concert performed without interval)
