Privacy Statement

We are committed at every level to making sure that our communications with you are secure, considered and welcome, and adhere to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a Member of the London Cello Society we keep and use the data you provided us with when you subscribed as a member. We keep these data to allow us to communicate with you as members and to administer your membership.

For bulk emailing to our membership, from time to time we share your name and email address only with a third GDPR compliant party. Otherwise, we do not share any of a member’s data with any third party.

For young members under the age of 18 we require a parent name and email address for communications. We also request the age and current level (e.g. ABRSM grade) of the young member, so that we may tailor and offer events appropriate to the member’s age and level of proficiency.

A member whose subscription has lapsed will after six months be offered the option of receiving emails about our events. If you take up this option we will retain your name and email address for this purpose. Otherwise these data will be deleted, as will any other data we hold about you, whether or not you take up this option.

You may as a member at any time request a copy of the data we hold for you, or request that any of the data that is no longer accurate be corrected. Please contact [email protected] to request this.

Any member of the public may subscribe on this website to receive information from the London Cello Society without becoming a member of the Society. By providing personal data (name and email address) on this website, you are consenting to the use of this information for this purpose. Other than sharing for the purpose of bulk emailing as described above, we will not share this data with any third party. You may also unsubscribe at any time, either by clicking the “unsubscribe” button on any email received, or by contacting [email protected].
