Sutton House Music Society is delighted to present the Namara Trio – flautist Boris Bizjak, cellist Heather Tuach and pianist Yoko Misumi – playing a rich and eclectic mix of music by Beethoven, Villa Lobos, Nadia Boulanger, Clara Schumann and Brahms, at Sutton House in Hackney, one of the oldest houses in London, on Sunday 26 June at 7pm. The concert will open with a movement of Rachmaninov’s cello sonata played by Lotte Shlomowitz, the recipient of the Susanne Beer Corner Foundation prize. Cello Corner is a wonderful organisation, founded by cellist Susanne Beer, offering loans of instruments, performance opportunities, prizes, grants, and assistance with tuition. Run by a group of Susanne’s friends and family, it endeavours to preserve her memory and spirit and to continue her support of young musicians in attaining excellence in performance. Tickets available from www.shms.org.uk. Under 26s go free through the Cavatina Trust. Discount of 10% to LCS members at the door only.
