In partnership with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, we are pleased to present PONTICELLO, a new creative music-making workshop for young string players aged 7 to 17. Explore your instrument, learn how to improvise, compose, and combine your ideas with others. No music or music stands needed! You’ll be part of a new piece created under the guidance of workshop leaders Jill Collier and Natasha Zielazinski. Observers welcome.

Cello Surgery is conceived for teachers, students and enthusiasts who are curious about the technique of cello playing. Bring along your instruments and your questions, conundrums and tricky passages to share with our panel of cellists. Together we can explore solutions, raise further questions and open up the discussion on a variety of topics—from sitting up to left hand fluency and bowing techniques. Join us for a stimulating and engaging afternoon of detective work on the fingerboard!
