We have just been awarded a £2000 grant from the Hargreaves and Ball Trust. With our recent £1000 grant from Cavatina Trust, we can increase our support for the In Harmony Lambeth programme, part of El Sistema England. Read more about their work here:

The Society is supporting their cello programme with 75 hours a year of specialised tuition, including creative improvisation and cello techniques.

Their director Gerry Sterling says about our work:

The opportunity for In Harmony Lambeth to work with London Cello Society adds strength to the programme. The programme is constantly aware of the issues of diversity in bringing children to music and also that many of the IHL students come from challenging backgrounds. It is hoped that the In Harmony programme will become the ‘orchestra in Stockwell’. For many, the programme acts like a ‘second home’.
