Around the World with Music is a celebration of folk music from different cultures– English, Hungarian, Greek, Argentinian and Brazilian with a bit of American blues and country thrown into the mix! Improvisation is an important part of folk music, as is rhythm, which forms the basis of the song and the dance.

Join us for some fun and high energy as we learn notated tunes from different parts of the world to play in groups. We might even venture out of our chairs into some simple dance steps! The day will end with a short informal performance.

Open to Grades 1-5.
